About Us
"The Stomp" is a joint project of a bunch of Canberra dance enthusiasts and the Rotary Club of Canberra Burley Griffin.
The disasterous Boxing Day Tsunami of 2004 was the trigger for our decision to run the first stomp as a couple of us pondered what we could do in the face of such an enormous human tragedy. We raised $4000 in our first effort and helped to get a Sri Lankan fishing village back to work with new fishing boats.

Since then we have run the Stomp every 3 months and raised between two and three thousand each night. The money is dedicated to needy charities identified by the Rotary Club.

So who are the people behind "Stomp"
The Stomp Coordinator
Mark McEwen - "Stomp" seemed like a sensible way of turning all that dance energy into much needed money for charity. If you would like more information on Stomp or this web site, call 0414 964 781 or email mark_mcewen@hotmail.com
